In Lumineers (Cosmetic Veneers)

Are you looking for a permanent and painless way to improve the appearance of your teeth? If so, ultra-thin Lumineers® may be the answer. Lumineers® are made from durable, high-quality porcelain that can transform your smile without the need for painful and invasive prep work.

Who Is a Candidate for Lumineers®?

Lumineers® are an effective way to correct mild to moderate cosmetic dental issues, including:

  • stained or discolored teeth,
  • chipped teeth,
  • crooked teeth,
  • small or misshapen teeth,
  • misaligned teeth, and
  • gaps or spaces between teeth.

Lumineers® can even be placed over old crowns or bridgework that can add years to your smile.

Why Choose Lumineers® Over Traditional Veneers?

Lumineers® are much thinner than traditional veneers. This eliminates the need for shots and changes to the tooth structure that are both uncomfortable and can weaken the underlying tooth. Since Lumineers® are so thin, you will also experience less post-procedure discomfort or sensitivity than with traditional veneers. The porcelain used to create Lumineers® is highly translucent to replicate natural tooth enamel and is durable enough to last up to 20 years with proper care.

What Should I Expect During the Lumineers® Procedure?

If you and Dr. Westmoreland decide that Lumineers® are the right solution for your dental issues, he will start by making an impression of your teeth to ensure that your veneers are the correct shape and size. You will also have the opportunity to customize the shade of your veneers so that they blend in seamlessly with your other teeth. Once we receive your customized veneers from the lab, you will return to our office so that Dr. Westmoreland can apply them to your teeth using a special adhesive. Once in place, your veneers will look, feel, and function just like natural teeth.

Do Lumineers® Require Special Care?

Lumineers® are durable enough to stand up to normal use, so you can eat your favorite foods with confidence. Of course, you should still practice good oral hygiene and see a dentist every six months for routine checkups.

Are Lumineers® Expensive?

The cost of your Lumineers® will depend on a variety of issues, including the severity of your dental issues, the number of veneers required, and the extent of your insurance coverage. We will provide you with an outline of your cost and discuss payment options following your initial consultation.
