In Our Team, Services

At Westmoreland Dental, we pride ourselves on our commitment to our patients and their health. Dr. Westmoreland has been serving patients in this community for over 20 years. With his years of experience and highly-trained staff, we ensure you’ll have a great dental experience. We offer a variety of dental services to meet individual needs. Here’s a list and description of each of our dental services.

General Dentistry

General dentistry is one of the most popular forms of dentistry. This is the category that yearly check-ups fall under. In addition to seeing adults, Dr. Westmoreland sees children as well. Some of the services that fall under this category include basic cleanings, basic oral surgery, bonded or tooth-colored fillings, crowns, bridges, partials, and more. Sedation Dentistry

If you have a fear of the dentist or find yourself uneasy in the chair, sedation dentistry is an option for you. Our staff wants to ensure you’re comfortable during your procedures, which is why we offer sedation. This method helps relax the patient to the point where they will not feel any pain. In addition, patients will likely have no memory of the experience even though they are slightly awake. You will not be fully put under with sedation dentistry. This is just an option that allows the dental care you need in a safe and painless way.

Invisalign

Are you interested in straightening your smile without the hassle of braces? If so, Invisalign is the perfect alternative for you. Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten your teeth without braces! Dr. Westmoreland has gone through extensive training so he can offer this service to his patients. He is a qualified Invisalign-trained orthodontist. Invisalign uses 3-D computer imaging to create aligners that slowly shift your teeth in the correct place. You will wear the aligner for about two weeks, then move to the next. This will all be done through Dr. Westmoreland’s office.

TMJ and Migraine Therapy

TMJ, also known as Temporomandibular joint dysfunction, is when pain is in the jaw joint and surrounding muscles. There are many causes for it, but not every dentist has the solution. Westmoreland Dental offers therapy to reduce jaw pain and relax your muscles. In order to do this, we use Botox injections which were approved by the FDA in 2011 for this type of joint pain. This procedure only takes a few minutes, and the doctor will provide local anesthesia to ensure your comfortability.

TMJ Laser Treatment

Another option for TMJ joint pain is laser treatment. Our Epic X Diode Laser uses pulses of high-intensity light at certain wavelengths. When applied to the correct muscles and areas, blood circulation increases, and muscles relax. Dr. Westmoreland is extremely experienced with this laser and ensures results.

Mini Dental Implants (Dentures)

We use a mini dental implant system that consists of miniature titanium implants that act as the root of your tooth. In addition, this helps retain the fixture that incorporates into the base of your denture. For a more in-depth explanation, common questions and answers, check out a link to our page here.

Cosmetic Veneers

Westmoreland Dental offers LUMINEERS®, which are porcelain veneers that offer the painless way to a permanently whiter and aligned smile. The contact lens-thin veneers placed over existing teeth don’t require the removal of painful tooth structures. For more information on our veneers, click here.
